I think a lot more work needs to be added for the site; i mean they are trying to get people to flcok there ney?
So a minimalistic design approach probaly won't help. But hey; its using CSS so why should i complain :p
Our effort was to produce a site that communicates a sense of peacefullness. The clean design should reflect the unspoilt location nature of a tiny island.
I disagree Steven - the minimalist approach is very appealing to me.
I think there needs to be more constrast between the normal and hover states on the navigation links, and i'm not so sure about the watercolour effect - a really good photo would work better for me.
Apart from that I really like it.

If you're going for tranquility, I'd remove the vibrating diagonal lines from the header.
