Excellent. Very professional like design. The Front Page is great, well designed. The Content Pages are nice, easy to read, and love the sub navigation that goes along with it. Great job.

This is a very impressive site. This is not SLOW, and I'm only using a 1Mbps ADSL connection...

I like the little girl on the homepage! She's a real student, not some model. The site is meant for the internal community of the school and is very easy for a non-techie (like most of the target audience)to navigate. The errors come from the on-site manager. They're not the designer's fault.

Good site it looks very nice and appealing to the eyes. Also the home page is sweeeeet. Very user friendly, and easy to navigate.. all the other web standards stuff i don't know much about being a "rookie" so i'll leave that to you guys. Nice job to whoever did it.

hmmm, well overall the site looks very nice... not a big fan of the home page, but the interior pages are very sharp from a design perspective. Nice usage of fonts and color to help make everything very readable and clean. good job.

Eh, not very impressive. - The homepage does a poor job of surfacing interior content, the site has news, events and even a "today" section that is all hidden behind stale nav. Also, the Q around the child on the homepage is unnecessary, a gimmick that doesn't work visually on this site. - Code errors exist throughout. - Default font size is too small with no on-page ability to change it, audience first, the layout does not accomodate browser text size changes without refresh. - Left side sub nav disappears into the site. - No text-based footer nav present. - Right side needs refinement. All in all it feels very template driven and unoriginal.

I like the site. I think the content is structured in an extremely proffessional way. Whomever mapped out this content is a pro.

Couldn't they have picked some more ...visually appealing... children for that large display on the front page? ;-)

i'm not sure it really matters who designed the site, it either validates or it doesn't, the alt tags are either present or they're not.

I wouldn't normally comment but... @ Slikea, You're asinine and useless comments make it clear that you are the rookie.

This site is not so great either. Looks like it was built by a rookie... lots of mistakes on the code. Loads very slow. It's ok...

Rookie? Funny. Obviously, you have no clue who designed this website. I looked at it and recognized the style. A person who received "Web Standards Award" on board at this design company. And I agree with Clint. If you are going to comment, please be specific. How are the designers will use your "This site is not so great either" comment.

I thought they did a nice job on the design. My only comment would be that I would prefer the left nav to stay white in the active state - and not just on the over state, connecting it to the content area. But all in all, very nice.

Slikea may not have been very slick with the comments, but there is a point to be made here. The site doesn't validate. Several inaccurately closed paragraph tags on the homepage alone. Also, many ALT tags are missing. I wouldn't say the site was done by a rookie - instead I would say these are easily fixable mistakes. Also, the site is quite visually pleasing.

I'm with Dale on all points there. I don't recognise the style so I have no idea who designed it but it looks great, the site is very well structured and the individual pages are laid out nicely. Will suit the target audience. Two small things I would change: drop the index.asp on the links, /questandyourgiftedchild/ will work just as well as /questandyourgiftedchild/index.asp and will look a lot tidier. Also may help with bookmarks in the future... and add a shadow / gap after the footer. Nice work!
