As I'm on my PC right now, I'll go ahead and assume the large-format fonts look better on a Mac. :) I like the style, but the sizing of the header fonts makes them a bit abrasive. The black background might also work a bit better as a darkish grey. Finally (I critique because I care!), the clever fixed fade-at-the-bottom background that Zeldman also used on his last redesign is a little visually weird; it looks good, but winds up a little distracting.

" But I bet you remember my name now though :) No seriously, I made it that large so that people would associate the site to me instead of some random dude they always reference named "Phark". It was as though people were going to my site and not knowing who's it was, and that was starting to get to me. But that header will be changing soon. I'm still working on some sort of a graphic for up there, so stay tuned. Oh, and Eric — I'm a huge fan of your work.

There's an ALA-like trend brewing up, I see. A stripe at the top, a degraded background at the bottom, and a centered content. Interesting.
