The colours are excellent, and as mentioned, the typography is also quite strong. Most of the photography is high-quality with the exception of a few shots which I assume came from various family members. While a great site overall there was a request for what could be improved so: --the photo galleries of the dogs require that you go back to the original menu, as there is not "next" or "previous" option --you can't click "our dogs" on the navigation, but rather have to choose an option from the drop down menu. In other words, there is not that much to complain about.

Amazing! But for your problem, I think it is that in the navigation drop-downs, the dividers (like boys and girls) use a cursor as if they were a link, yet you can't click them. What's up with that? I really like this one though!

Beautiful colors... none of them are used much in web design (Daring Fireball being the only site that evokes any similarity whatsoever off the top of my head). Smooth, warm, inviting. Just what this kind of site needs. The only fault I found with it was the red sub-heading in the top graphic. It seems just a bit clashy with its background color. Excellent work. Biddlebugs, is it?

it's so rare to find a truely well designed dog breeder's site (let alone a standards driven one). seriously, search around for your favorite dogs' breeder/kennel sites. most of them are terrible. thanks for sharing. this gives me hope.

Beautiful site. The colours are great, typography perfect, and those gradients are very smooth. I notice a distinct style the creator has which is something not many can lay claim to.

I like it a lot. One thing that does bother me is that clicking certain sections loads a different header image (like on the puppies page). Most sections feature the quizzical looking dog on the home page (home, contact, about us), with some exceptions. It seems like it would make much more sense to assign each section a distinct header image. I would also like to be able to click on 'our dogs' without selecting a sub nav element. Other than that, it's beatiful.
