I wonder when (or ever) drop shadows will fade away. They always look nice though.
OT: I haven't been too pleased with some of the comments left here lately. If you plan on accusing someone of stealing from another site, do so rationally and respectfully. If you have something degrading to say email the person. Keep the focus here on design. Critique, but don't bash. Thank you.

how many variations on a 2 column theme do we need to see, the problem with CSS based site design is that everybody's stolen the same initial design from ZEN. this cssvault displays some great and more importantly unique examples, the problem is that the other 80% of the sites on here are very similar - how about some variation, id rarther see unique sites updated every month, than similar sites updated every week (hows the review of my submission going *cheaky* :)

Mark, the ZEN Garden is hardly the pinnacle and founder of CSS designs. So to say they all get their style from there simply isn't so.

Chris. you have to admit that the banner/2 column design is by far the most common use of CSS based design the sad thing is that theres no little variation or attempt to 'break the grid' with these designs.

I agree to a certain extent Mark, that banner/2 column is very common these days by many many sites. But there's no wrong in doing so as whilst it's the same overal concept you will find quite a few people who offer up enough variation on the banner/2 column that it's still good to look at :-). Anyway, the site's design is nice, I like the header image. The content is pretty interesting too.
