It's clean -- it's an ok design, does the job, but doesn't look too new to me. I wish the code would be semantic, though -- all I see are divs and ps, but it works!

I like the design, works very well. The code seemed a bit sloppy visually, but was very light and seems to work fine from what I can tell. Good work, the layout really works for me.

Yes, it is nice. Especially the way flash works as part of the page and not in its own little world. I find flash is often used like java just to do freaky things. Here is an example of the sensible use of flash. Hover and Navigation. There is always a default hover attribute. The cursor, Mr Spear, finds a link and turns into Mr Hand. That's enough for me. :)

@Daniel: Everything looks a lot like something else, I guess. It's been so since art came to existence, since it's begun by copying life. (wow, profound pseudo-thoughts from me and it's not even 10AM yet). @Scrivs: Funny, you've said a few times that site navigation lacks a hover state in the past few months. Care to explain precisely why, or is it just a pet peeve (the equivalent of my background-colour obsession maybe)? This would do a nice whitespace entry, uh?

Nice site with good layout. And as Scrivs mentioned earliier it is a good idea to show the menu items having a hover state. At the moment it doesn't act like a link. How about underlining those links? Also it is confusing to see the left hand thumbnail pics are links while the ones on the right is not. Those thumbnails which are link should have a hover effect too.

Good Flash integration with CSS..... But as Flash is a non-approved web-technology for user-accessibility issues, why is it being used in association with CSS at all? Well done to Float for getting a contract with Bath Spa University College....it's my old university!! (Small world eh?) It's worth noting that the Bath Spa Webmaster used to pride himself on his good practice of accessibility issues...so, I hope Float don't plan on throwing Flash together with CSS for their work on the site. Float have made good use of colour on their site...however, I am finding the blue is a little bit light in contrast with the whitespace.

I agree with Daniel. I saw the site and thought the same thing and decided to comment on it when I saw somebody else already has. The design is not totally original, It looks very much like Preloaded's design. It was the first thing I thought when I saw it. The layout is very similiar (2 column - 50/50) Even to the point that some of their navigation is the same ("What We Do") and even the tagline is similiar. Some of the buttons are worded the same "Send Message" To comment on what Stephanie said: Yes, something always looks like something else but this website could be mistaken for preloaded's little brother. It's like using a friend's term paper for a class and rewriting it enough so it's not plagarism. The designer shouldn't get any recognition for this.
