What I Like
I love these company sites that have a personal feel to them. The less tighty-whitey boardoom effect, the better.
Cuckfield Lodge does a wonderful job of using photography to set within the lodge itself. When you have great photography the design of the site usually comes with ease as you can just follow the photographs.
The background image also does a nice job of complementing the rest of the site.
What I Dont' Like
Images for the navigation are not necessary and the navigation does not show where I am.

Hmm. This site is very nice. I didn't like the green text for some reason. Green header text is a maybe, but the green text throws me off and it didn't quite match or compliment the green in the header image. Also, all the pages have green text except for the Rates section.

Hey. This site looks pretty nice. I was drawn in by the background. Then I noticed it. The designer left a small flaw that maybe if I hadn't pointed out would have gone unseen. The issue is the middle div has an image above that is seperate from the overall bg. Thus, it created a line at the top. I think the designer should go back and fix this. Then the site will look really sweet.
