Customize Amazon Stores With CSS

Monday, September 24th, 2007

Apparently Amazon is now allowing their users to customize the look and feel of their stores, similar to how MySpace allows users to create individual themes for their pages.

I am sure some customers will see this as a bad move, as many MySpace pages are riddled with garbage that only clutter and slow down the site. This will however definitely make a lot of users happy which is what a company like Amazon should be all about. Kudos!

CNN.com Redesign Goes Live

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

A redesign of CNN.com that has been in the works over the past few months is now live! The most noticeable change is that it now sports a fresher, cleaner, more accessible look that floats beautifully at the center of the screen instead of being flushed all the way to the left as in the old site. Though it still uses tables here and there, the entire site is laid out in CSS. Another interesting feature is the “Most Popular” widget that ranks stories and videos by “Most Viewed”, “Most Emailed”, “Top Searches”. Click here for a bigger list of new features.
